So my family decided to go to sentosa for a day out bc we haven't done so for 382738 years. We got the package whereby we could visit 3 attractions so ofc we chose the most expensive ones bc in the package, it'll definitely be cheaper and more worth it!! I wanted to try the 4D AdventureLand and Skyline Luge bc it seemed rlly fun but I guess I'll try it another time HAHAHA 。(⌒∇⌒。)
We went to Trick Eye museum first which was all the way at one corner and we had to walk through this korean-like town called Insa-dong with all the korean restaurants. I miss Korea tho :-( the museum was quite huge and we took lots of photos (rlly a lot like 200+ I think) so if you go there rmb to clear some space on your phone or camera hehehe.
Trick Eye is short for ‘Trick of the eye’, which refers to an art technique that turns two-dimensional paintings into three-dimensional images through the use of optical illusions. With that, 2D paintings on the museum walls, floors and ceilings appear to pop out of the surface and come to life. There was one whole room for safari kingdom (with anacondas, pandas, elephants) as well as many other sections!! :-) some illusions make use of the rotation of the photo, like the panda one and the anaconda one :-) its a super cool museum bc you can touch the illusion boards there and super cool 12/10 would go again :-) but rather huge so we spent abt 2 hours inside there.
We went to chill at Starbucks first and then headed to Madame Tussauds 〜(￣▽￣〜
Madame Tussauds was RLLY COOL I'm not even kidding!!! It was mandatory for all visitors to take some spirit of Singapore boat ride which was super boring lmao it was rlly slow ya. But the ride lasted abt 3 mins so no big deal. Then we stepped into Madam Tussauds and it was first a room full of politicians :-) there was Nelson Mandela, Lee Hsien Loong, Obama, Yusof Bin Ishak, Queen Elizabeth and Lee Kuan Yew and his wife!! :-) the wax figures of Queen Elizabeth and Lee Kuan Yew was rlly like the real deal and kind of scary woopsdebjs. The staff there put some tiara on my head and took a family photo of us w the Queen (I am royalty YEZZ). We got it printed out and it was rlly rlly nice for keepsake (-: Then we went on to the sports section w David Beckham, Feng Tian Wei, Fandi Ahmad, Tiger Woods and Yao Ming etc. There was a basketball and a hoop to shoot into as well as a soccer simulation where visitors could kick this digital football lmao. I took a golf club and posed w Tiger Woods hahaha. It was rlly hands-on.
Then we got a glimpse of how these figurines were made and the processes behind them, and its quite troublesome bc you need to constantly touch-up the figurines with make-up, paint them etc. Some people waxed their hands too it was super cool. We went on to the TV personalities section, with Oprah Winfrey, Phua Chu Kang, Zoe Tay etc. Then there was Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Stephanie Sun, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Madonna in the next room!! (-: I wore this oversized sunglasses (which was basically resting on my cheeks) w Elvis Presley and played the drums too!! Michael Jackson looks a bit too fake and waxy tho.
We went to the film stars section, with Audrey Hepburn (perfection omgg), Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan etc. Then there was the room full of A-Listers! :-) Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise (YEZZUHH), Andy Lau and the Bollywood actors and actresses. I bought some keychains at the gift shop too!! (-: its rlly an eye-opener bc its so amazing how these wax figurines can look so much alike to the real people! Its hard to tell the difference at times (?) v cool v swek I like it.
By the time we went to Sea Aquarium, we were left w half an hour before it closed! :-( sad but it was rlly beautiful inside! :-) with thousands of fishes swimming in schools and also, many cute jellyfishes hehe and sharks!! many stingrays (of all sizes) and different fishes! We saw eels too but they're v gross imo... We didn't manage to see any divers tho :-( I'm not a fish person or a marine life person I think i prefer shopping to anything but Sea Aquarium was rlly spectacular and cool ooOOOoOoo. I bought Cupcake flavoured cotton candy at Candylicious then had dinner @ RAMEN PLAY!! :-) I'm a sucker for ramen so yeah yesterday was a rlly super duper good day I haven't had that much fun w my family for quite long alr hahahah.
